The Global Education Program Initiative:

The TNASDCL Global Education Program is an initiative of the Tamil Nadu Apex Skill Development Centre for Logistics (TNASDCL), under the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC), Government of Tamil Nadu.
The programme has been established to help students from Tamil Nadu make informed and confident decisions about international education. Whether you are planning to pursue a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD, TNASDCL provides free, end-to-end guidance throughout your journey, from choosing the right course and university to applying for scholarships, completing university applications, securing a student visa, and preparing for life overseas. Students are also guided towards universities ranked within the Top 550 of the Times Higher Education and QS World University Rankings, while receiving assistance in identifying eligible Government scholarship programmes, university-funded scholarships and tuition fee waivers.
Students are connected with leading universities across the world, offering programmes in a wide range of disciplines, including Engineering, Technology, Business, Healthcare, Design, Social Sciences, and many other emerging fields. By making quality international education more accessible, TNASDCL is helping develop a skilled, globally competitive workforce that contributes to Tamil Nadu’s future growth and development.

Promoting awareness of quality international universities ranked within the Top 550 of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, along with scholarship and financial assistance opportunities.

Providing guidance on Government scholarship programmes, university-funded scholarships, tuition fee waivers and other financial assistance opportunities to help reduce the overall cost of overseas education.

Student can explore a broad range of study opportunities across internationally recognised universities, countries and disciplines, helping students identify pathways that align with their academic background, career aspirations and long-term goals.

Structured support throughout the overseas education journey, including course and university selection, scholarship guidance, admissions, student visa assistance and pre-departure preparation.

Support continues beyond admission through post-arrival guidance, helping students settle into their new academic environment. Students can also seek assistance with general academic, welfare and settlement-related queries, and where appropriate, TNASDCL will provide guidance or help connect students with the relevant university or local support services.

Who Can Apply?

The TNASDCL Global Education Programme is open to students seeking undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral study opportunities across leading universities in Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Malaysia and many more:

  • Undergraduate (UG): Students who have completed Class 12 and wish to pursue a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Postgraduate (PG): Graduates planning to undertake a Master’s degree.
  • Doctoral (PhD): Postgraduates interested in pursuing research and doctoral studies.

Frequently Asked Questions

The programme welcomes students from all academic streams and disciplines, including Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering and many others. TNASDCL provides guidance across a broad range of international study areas, helping students identify suitable courses, universities and study destinations that align with their academic interests and long-term career goals.

A minimum of 6 to 12 months prior to the intended intake is recommended. This allows sufficient time for English language test preparation, document collection, scholarship applications and student visa processing.

TNASDCL provides guidance and assistance to eligible students in accessing Government scholarship programmes and university-funded scholarships. The Department supports students throughout the application process by providing information on eligibility requirements, scholarship opportunities, application procedures and the preparation of the necessary documentation. Guidance is also provided on university-funded tuition fee waivers and other financial assistance opportunities, where available. Through this support, TNASDCL aims to improve student access to quality international education while reducing the financial burden on students and their families.

Many international universities accept English language tests such as IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic and Cambridge English C1/C2 as part of their admission requirements. Some institutions also accept the Duolingo English Test. TNASDCL provides guidance on the English language requirements of different universities and study destinations and assists students in selecting the most appropriate English language test based on their chosen course and institution. Guidance on English language preparation resources may also be provided, where appropriate.

Typical requirements include academic transcripts, a degree or provisional certificate, a valid passport, English test scores, a CV or résumé, a Statement of Purpose, and two to three Letters of Recommendation. Specific programs may additionally require a research proposal, portfolio, or writing sample. TNASDCL provides each student with a tailored document checklist once their university shortlist is finalised.

No fees of any kind are charged. The TNASDCL Global Education Program is a Government of Tamil Nadu initiative delivered in the public interest. Registration, counselling, application support, scholarship guidance, and post-arrival assistance are all provided completely free of charge, with no costs at any stage.

TNASDCL maintains structured engagement with students throughout their study period. This includes a formal post-arrival orientation check-in, an active student helpdesk for on-ground queries, scheduled well-being follow-ups, and ongoing academic and career guidance. Students also gain access to a peer network and alumni connectivity to support professional development during and after their overseas study experience.
