Academic Background
Indian Navy for 26 years of as a professional Submariner with the honour of Commissioning two Submarines from Soviet Union/ Russia and have Commanded four submarines and have Commanded the unique, one of its kind Submarine Training establishment in South Asia wherein, was instrumental in formulating for the first time, training programs for Officers of the South African and Vietnamese Navies.
Professional Accomplishment
- Responsible for drawing out the requirements for the first ever Nuclear Submarine Training School and oversaw its construction.
- Have been awarded the Nao Sena Medal.
- Three decades of experience in Maritime Logistics and Transportation and have been engaged with the skill eco system since its inception in 2010.
- To ensure that the workforce in the Sector is skilled and certified. have been an ardent advocate of Apprenticeship and feels this should be the preferred route for Companies and Candidates as it is a win-win situation for both.
- Education and Vocational Skills are intimately connected and with LSC launching the Degree Apprenticeship Programs in Educational Institutions is working to create a streamlined pathway for students with the required knowledge, skills, and attitude to take up a career in Logistics Sector. Given the use of technology this Sector is indeed becoming an aspirational one for the youth.
Expertise
- Operated a time charter coastal shipping service from Okha to Kochi for Tata Chemicals by containerising bagged cargo and procured ISO containers from China and had them shipped to India with freight cargo and started a Container
- Transport Fleet Management and helped run a profitable SBU during the recession of 2008. Operated Transport network and routeing as Head Primary Collection and Transportation of Municipal Solid Waste across over 50 locations for Ramky Enviro Engineering Ltd (REEL) an Environment Company
